It seems that the arm width is set a little wider than the shoulder width. How does everyone do it?

I was only using the New Tech pin machine, but I tried the Cybex shoulder press that just came out, and 10 kg feels heavy... It's a nice change.
How many kilograms is this, guys? I'm a man and I started at 36 kilograms.
