I think of lowering it towards the crown of my head. If I lower it with my forehead, the angle of my elbow bends too much, and if I do it wrong while contracting, it can cause pain.

I don’t know if it’s right but I put a 50lb dumbbell in one hand and I’m doing my side lat raise with a 25lb in the other. Keeps me very straight and balanced.
This isn’t a tricep pushdown yall. You should be keeping those arms straight and pulling in almost an arc
